Center Plate
INTRODUCE :
Kingrail Parts mainly offers two types of center plates.
One is the top center plate or upper center plate, also known as the body center plate. It has been used in almost all station wagon designs. The railcar body has a longitudinally extending center beam, and a main beam extending transversely relative to the center beam. The center plate is installed below the center beam where the center beam meets the main beam.
Other types of center plates are lower center plates and are called bogie center plates. Usually, the center plate is fixed to the truck bogie by bolts and nuts, and supports the rolling motion of the railway car body along the railway track.
The upper center plate and the lower center plate work together to connect the body and the bogie to move forward.
